Process to Submit Nominations:
In 2012 Dr. Ronald McCage was awarded the Joel Magisos Exceptional Service Award is given to an IVETA member for long-term support to the continuing development of IVETA. Dr. McCage has given years of unwavering support to IVETA. He and his organization CTECS have provided equipment for conferences, helped with finding vendors and sponsored IVETA receptions. Dr. McCage’s expertise in Vocational Education has been a valued resource for IVETA since he joined as a Charter Member. Dr. McCage retired in 2012.
Robert D. Cain Business/Organization Award is given to a company, government agency or educational institution for continuing new or specific support to IVETA such as sponsorship conference activities, work release, publicity or publication assistance. For 2012, this award was made to the Malawi Technical, Entrepreneurial and Vocational Education and Training Authority (TEVETA) for the 2012 IVETA International Conference.
No awards were given in 2011.
The last time the Silvius-Wolansky Award was awarded in 2010.
Silvius-Wolansky Award to an Outstanding Leader in TVET, [not necessarily a member of IVETA] for their contributions to the advancement of technical vocational education and training locally, nationally, and internationally. This coveted award is sponsored by IOWA State University and includes a monetary award. For 2010, this prestigious world-wide award goes to Dr.Olga Oleynikova, of the Russian Federation [See Picture On Left]. Dr. Oleynikova is Director of the Centre for Vocational Education and Training Studies of the Russian Federation. As Russian Team leader and coordinator she takes part in numerous Vocational Education projects linking Russia with the European Community and has worked on, directed, and coordinated many projects concerned with Vocational Education and Training and Continuing Education in many countries. Congratulations, Dr. Oleynikova!
