Helsinki (Finland), St. Petersburg, (Russian Federation)

Call for Proposals is OPEN - Click Here for Information to Submit a Proposal

In 2014 IVETA is marking its 30th anniversary and is holding its anniversary conference in 2 countries and in two cities, namely in Helsinki (Finland) and in St. Petersburg (Russia). St. Petersburg will be a second Russia city to host IVETA conference. The first one is Moscow that hosted IVETAs regional conference in 2006.

The international conference will look into the diverse perspectives of internationalization

§  as a process of integrating an international, intercultural and/or global dimension into the goals, functions (teaching/learning, research, services) and delivery of vocational and technical education

§  monitoring and evaluation of TVET programs

§  development of performance indicators

§  ensuring industry relevance of TVET programs to the labor market, to mention but a few.

This theme has been selected as the international dimension of vocational education and training is becoming increasingly important and complex, and thus - often confusing. It is therefore timely to reexamine and probably update the conceptual frameworks underpinning the notion of inter-nationalization in light of todays changes and challenges.
