Since 1990 I have been working as a human resource professional focusing on training and development. The training I have created, delivered and managed during my years as an educational professional has met the needs of diverse audiences including Queensland and New South Wales governments, corporations, businesses, Queensland schools, Australian TAFE colleges, UK (Cambridge) IGCSE requirements, North Carolina Middle School and High School requirements as well as the cultural needs of ESL and non-western students and the motivational needs of disadvantaged groups. With a number of years of experience in the provision of and managing training and educational services, I have provided solutions to assist government agencies, industry, community organisations, professional bodies and individuals in Australia, USA, Canada and Kuwait.
As I have a strong business background due to formal Business Accounting studies together with nearly 10 years of owning and operating my own educational consultancy, I have a proven track record of successfully managing educational, financial, human resources, customer focused services and business operations within the changing environment of training and assessment.
I have found as a project manager, that a thorough planning process for each project is imperative to ensure successful outcomes for all stakeholders. Allocation of resources (human, financial, marketing and technical) is easier to identify and coordinate. Detailed planning for new or innovative training programs or services is even more necessary as these projects generally have no precedent which would indicate any potential risks or areas of possible concern. In the past, I have been very successful with many project implementations by ensuring that each project is thoroughly planned, monitored closely with regular feedback sent and received.
